ABHYANGAM
Abhyanga or body massage is the most important activity mentioned under daily regimen in the classical texts of Ayurveda. Massage is done all over the body from neck to toe. It improves blood circulation and induces deep relaxation of mind and body. Kerala traditional massage, rejuvenation massage and skin care massages are also included under this.
Sirodhara
Sirodhara is pouring the liquid on the forehead in a rhythmic pattern for a stipulated time for getting local and systemic effects. It is one of the most relaxing therapies that lead the entire body into a state of calmness. Dosha specific oil is poured in an even stream on the forehead continuously to pacify the doshas and thereby revitalizing the body and mind, diminishing the effect of stress and strain and strengthening physical constitution.
Pichu
Pichu is used as an effective method to treat the ailments of head, spine and diseases of cranial nerves caused by vata disorder. In this treatment, medicated warm oil is applied on the head externally. It is done to a local area which is affected.pichu can be directed on a person as a main treatment for head and spine or a simplified treatment can be carried out with similar oil treatments in ayurveda.
Lepanam
In this specific treatment, a mixture is prepared by mixing the medicines and some herbal liquids together which made into a paste. This paste is then applied on the several affected parts of the body. This lepam paste acts as a scrubber to the body which is used to rejuvenate blood circulation, make the skin smooth, remove skin disorders and relieve pain management, at the same time it also activates the healing and natural purifying abilities of the body.
Sirovasthi
Sirovasthi is an effective treatment for nervous system disorders. Patient is made to sit straight on a chair with long leather cap of 10 inches height tied to the head with the help of a band. Kneaded dough is used to prevent leakage. Lukewarm medicated oil is poured into the leather cap. After a period, oil is removed and gentle massage is given to the patient on the shoulder, neck and forehead.
Kati Vasti
To achieve a balanced state of body, mind and consciousness, ayurveda prescribes purificatory therapy i.e panchakarma for the cleansing of body toxins. Kativasti, a part of pre-operative procedure prior to panchakarma is a very effective treatment for lower backache.
Njavarakizhi
Njavarakizhi therapy involves a generous amount of medicated oil being applied to the whole body. The body is then massaged with small cotton cloth boluses filled with cooked njavara rice. The boluses are dipped in this regenerating mixture of cow’s milk and a brewed herbal decoction, and then applied all over the body to induce sudation (sweat).
Netra Tarpana
Tarpana treatment is an efficient therapy of ayurvedic eye care. Stress and strain related disorders of the eye are common in the present era of computers and gadgets. Computer eye syndrome or computer vision syndrome (cvs) is quiet common in most of the people. Ayurveda offers the best time tested remedies for eye disorders and eye strain.

Acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
